In order that we can reopen safely to guests, we are making a number of changes. Please ensure that you are familiar with all the details prior to your stay with us (a copy will be available in your room). Should you have any queries please don’t hesitate to contact Chrysta on 01262 468479 or 07973 340562.
Prior to Check-in
Should you feel unwell, have a temperature, sore throat or any flu or cold like symptoms please do not come for your stay at Village Farm.
Cancellations in these circumstances will not incur a cancellation fee as long as you call us to let us know.
Check-in
Check-in will continue to be between 4pm and 6pm. We are unable to accommodate early check-in currently due to the additional cleaning that is required between guest stays.
Should you wish to arrive later than 6pm, please let us know in advance as usual.
On arrival, please ensure that only 1 person gets out of the car initially. We will direct you to your room maintaining social distancing, details relevant to your room will be left in the room for you. The key to your room will be in the back of the door.
Please ensure that the first thing you do upon entering the room is wash your hands – there is both antibacterial soap and gel for your use.
Parking
We have marked out car parking spaces in the courtyard and you will be advised prior to your stay which space to park in. This is to ensure that we keep plenty of space between cars and it allows everyone to park as safely as possible.
We are only able to accommodate 1 car per room – if you are bringing more than 1 vehicle please let us know. Parking is available on the road or we may be able to secure some additional off-road parking for you.
Please ensure that you maintain social distancing if you encounter other guests when going to and from your car.
Breakfast
To ensure that we can maintain social distancing for all guests and staff, breakfast will now be served in your room at a time to suit. (Family groups may still be accommodated within the breakfast room, but we will advise in advance of your stay)
Please complete the breakfast request form in your room and ensure that it is posted in the box by Reception by 9.00pm the night before.
When we deliver your breakfast, we will knock on the door and then step back to a safe distance – we will be wearing gloves and a mask so please do not be alarmed!
Please open the door for us and then step back into the room staying 2m away from the dining tables that have been placed in the room.
Once we have left the room you can then enjoy your breakfast.
If you have any dietary requirements or special requests please let us know in advance of your stay.
Supper Trays and Food Services
At the current time we will not be providing supper trays.
We have left a list of local establishments that are open or offering take away services in your room and have also provided crockery, cutlery and napkins for your use.
If you use these of an evening, please leave the dirty crockery and cutlery with your breakfast dishes for collection in the morning.
Any rubbish from takeaways can be put into the green bin marked “Commercial Waste” next to reception.
Any food waste can be put into the brown bin next to reception.
Any recyclable plastic bottles, glass, etc., can go into the blue bins next to reception.
Cleaning and Hospitality Tray replenishment
Our cleaning regime has always been rigorous at Village Farm however, we have reviewed our cleaning processes in line with Government guidelines to ensure that we make things as safe as possible for everyone.
Soft furnishings (apart from curtains) are being removed from the rooms so that everything is washed between guest stays.
We are using hospital grade cleaning products as well as anti-viral sprays that that meet EN14476.
Magazines and the usual Information box have also been removed.
In order to limit contact, rooms will not be serviced daily. We will enter rooms to collect and replace dirty crockery/cutlery only – which should all be left on the dining table ready for us.
Guests who are staying for longer than 3 days will have their room completely cleaned after the 3rd night with a change of linen and towels.
If you need clean towels or a bed does need changing outside of this, or if you need anything else, just let us know when we deliver breakfast and we will organise it.
We have provided a pack of anti-bacterial wipes in each room as well anti-viral spray so that you can wipe high touch areas such as handles, switches, TV controller and other areas as you require during your stay.
If you display any symptoms, such as temperature, sore throat or any flu or cold like symptoms during your stay please let us know. Current Government advice states that you are required to check out and go home to self-isolate and should book a Covid-19 test. It is also essential that you let us know as we need to amend our handling and cleaning procedures for the room.
Payment and Check-out
Our check-out time will continue to be by 11am on the day of departure.
To minimise contact and to avoid guests having to come inside our main residence, we want payments to be contactless, preferably by bank transfer 24 hours prior to your stay. We will advise the cost of your stay and our bank details prior to your arrival so that payment can be made.
Alternatively, we can take a payment by credit card over the phone – however this does cost us additional money to do, so if you can do a bank transfer, we would be most grateful.
If this causes a problem, or you want to pay via a different method please let us know in advance.
Feedback
We, like everyone else, are trying to navigate our way around new rules and regulations and in all the changes we make the health and well-being of our guests and staff are our key consideration.
If something isn’t quite right, please tell us at the time so that we have the opportunity to put it right.
