Dog-friendly self-catering accommodation in East Yorkshire
Chrysta Newman and her family moved from London in August 2010 and ran Village Farm as a multi-award-winning Bed and Breakfast for 10 years. Chrysta and her husband Tony also run the successful marquee hire business Village Farm Marquees and the demands of running this thriving business, as well as the challenges presented by Covid-19 in 2020, has driven the decision to convert the accommodation at Village Farm to self-catering from 2021.
Two well appointed and comfortable ground floor holiday cottages have been created offering a great base for exploring the local area. The renovations have been completed by Chrysta, Tony, and a team of local tradesmen with every care taken to preserve the traditional architecture of the buildings.
The Old Tractor Shed and The Old Milking Parlour are both dog-friendly and we allow up to 2 dogs in each at an additional cost of £20 per stay.
No smoking is allowed in either of the cottages.
A welcome pack of bottled water, tea, coffee, sugar, milk, eggs, bread, butter, jam, and coffee pods for the Nespresso machine will be provided. There will also be basics such as oil, salt, pepper, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, anti-bacterial wipes, etc. included in each cottage.
The Village Shop, less than 5 minutes walk, is open daily and has a wide range of supplies. There is also a Co-op and Tesco in Hornsea (5 miles away) should you need further supplies.
4-day breaks are available from Monday – Friday and 2/3 day weekend breaks from Friday/Saturday to Sunday/Monday. 7-day breaks are available from a Monday or Friday.
Check-in on the day of arrival is from 4 pm and check-out on the day of departure is 10 am. Property keys are held in a key safe outside the property and you will be sent the code prior to arrival.
There is a dog-friendly pub (The Board Inn) just across the road serving food 7 days a week. Booking is recommended as it does get very busy.
